this is the quiver
this is the quiver
This post is about the work that I did 2nd period on Tuesday 3/1/22. What I did this period was I realized that the end part of the arrow were to big so I trimmed them down until they looked cool. Then I started to make more of them because Chuck said that Will had 24 of them so I started to make more. Half way through Science Bob told me that the tip had to be foam because it was a weapon. Then I put a cool foam tip on the top. Then I started to make another one. I had half of another arrow.
This post is dedicated to the work that I did during last period on Monday 2/28/22. In Middle Makers today I worked on the arrow that I was making. What I had at the start of class was a stick with a jagged tip. I sanded that to make it smoother and sharper. Then I looked at the quiver that Chuck was working on. It was way to big compared to my arrow. So, I combined another thin cylinder to the tip of my arrow to double it's size. Then it was too big so I had to use an utility knife to cut a bit of it off. Then, I spray painted the whole thing brown because that is the color of the arrows in Ranger's Apprentice. Then I hot glued fins to the end of the arrow. This is what it looks like now:
This post is for 3rd period on Monday 2/28/22 in English class. I started to think about what I was going to make. We decided that I would make the bow and arrows. I started making the arrows by first estimating about what shape and size it should be. After about 20 minutes I started to work on the arrow. The first thing I did was I took a thin wood cylinder and started to think about the ways of turning it into an arrow. So, after some time I decided to use a utility knife to sharpen and make a point at the end and then sanding it. I used the rest of class to try and execute that and help Chuck make a quiver. At the end of class I had sharpened the arrow but had not yet sanded it.
