Timeless: Diego and the Rangers of the Vastlantic 

Hi, my name is Trey Ferretti and I am applying to present at the Fessy-Con this year using the book Timeless: Diego and the Rangers of the Vastlantic By Armand Baltazar. I will be making a diorama (or three dimensional map) of the city of New Chicago.

The wooden base will be approximately 2 feet in diameter and will include a three dimensional map with canals. This will illustrate the waterways of New Chicago that were caused by the Time Collision.  The canals will be created by painting cardboard and will sit on top of the wood base. Cardboard will be used to create the land and buildings. I plan to 3D print 5 Robots, 3 Pirate Ships, 2 Old Submarines and 1 Dinosaur, and a mini action figure of Diego on his hoverboard. This will illustrate the overlap of the different time periods. Materials Needed: 3D Printer, Utility Knife, Scissors, Spray Paint, paint to recreate water, land, buildings, glue, small metal robot parts (to add detail to printed robots). Cardboard for the canals, land and buildings, wood for the base. 

The reason I should be selected to participate in Fessy Con is because my final product will be something interactive and tangible and will teach learners of all ages and styles about the setting of the book Timeless. Instead of just seeing New Chicago in the two dimensional like some of my classmates are doing, it will be more useful in the three dimensional so my audience can see the perspective of the townspeople.  This is important because it will give me and my  audience a better understanding of the book and all of the events that are taking place.
