Fessy Con Proposal

Title of your Proposal:  An Army of Frogs diorama

Project Paragraph: (Your paragraph details who you are, which book or series you are using, and a detailed description of the project you are submitting. )

I am Sam Kumin and my book is An Army of Frogs. My idea is to do a diorama with Mason Tatelman. The diorama will be about a war that is going on in our book between the Scorpions, lizards, vs all the animals that live in the Amphibiland the people that fight for the Amphibilands are the Kulipari but there are not many left because when they were fighting for the Amphibilands a lot of them died during war including darell's dad who was the leader of the Amphibians. In the book the Scorpion King is trying to take over the Amphibilands and nobody that lives in the Amphibilands knows that they are going to attack other than the main character in the book Darrell. One day Darrell and his best friend Gee were just walking over the hills a little bit too far past the Amphibilands where they live. They were walking because they wanted to find a special flower for their friend to make medicine. But Darrell mostly did it because he wanted to explore close to the Scorpion base, And he thought it would be fun to bring his best friend with him. When the two friends were walking they went a little bit too far and Gee got caught by a couple of Scorpion members and they took him inside. Then when they were walking away with Gee Darell heard in the distance “we're going to eat you as a snack” (that is what they said to Gee and Darell heard and was super worried) . Darell had to get his friend back so he went to the base and acted like he wanted to find the Sandpaper frog base because Darell kind of looked like a sandpaper frog even though he was just a wood frog. Darell might have looked like a scrawny frog but he was tough on the inside and he could fight. He figured out quickly that he would have to prove himself before he got to save his friend. He had to fight three different new recruits in the camp and he beat all of them. Then he got upgraded to guarding the entrance. At this point, this is as far as I have gotten in the book, so my plan may change slightly to best fit the story. As you can see Darell has a great relationship with his friend and his goal of saving him will direct his next steps.

Plan Paragraph: (How will you make it? What materials will you need? What CCI tools will you need? What is your timeline of the project? How will you manage your time? )

Some of the materials that we will need for this project are printouts of a couple of the animals in the war. We need a fish tank or shoe display. We also need turf. Most of this stuff will be purchased on Amazon. I don’t think we will need that much time in the CCI because we are going to put everything together during our class periods, also me and my partner are in all of the same study halls so we are going to work on it during those times. Me and my partner are going to try our best to manage our time as wisely as we can and make sure that our project looks great.

Why should your project proposal be approved: (Why should the Fessy Con Selection Committee select you? What makes your project special?) 

I think that our project is creative, and I think it would be a good addition to Fessy con. If everything works out then it would look great. My partner, Mason, is a good friend and we work well together. We have classes together and play on the same teams sometimes. We will not argue, but will use our time productively to make a project that dwarfs the rest. You don’t want to miss having the opportunity to have us there. On top of the diorama, we will try to dress in Army of Frogs T-Shirts or something.
