It is a paper mache hand that will slide out of an LEDed portal

This hand represents the consequences of your actions because Coraline made a bad decision

My goal is to create a representation of the book Coraline by Neil Gaiman

Conceptual Precedent

My conceptual precedent is for the wooden base. I liked how the hand stood out visually against the brown color.

I got my Technical precedent from this picture because I thought I could make something out of paper Mache.

Technical Precedent

I found this video about how to make paper Mache

Paper Mache is a way of making something by pasting thin strips of paper on to a frame something.

To do it you dip the paper into the paste and then plaster it onto the frame to make what you want.

Before I decided to make the base out of wood this was going to be the 3d print.

Iteration 1

This is my first attempt at making a box to slide the hand through, but it was too small.

I used popsicle Stikes to make it then glued them together.

on day two I built the base and am going to print it.

On day three there was many presintations so i did not get any work done

Day 4

on day 4 I built the tunnel that the hand will slide in.

On day 5 I started my Woodan base because the printers were all full.

On day 6 I Started my mid-review

day 7 and 8 I worked on the final Presintation.

Day 9 I finished my project and added a title
