I am going to create a lifesized sword and shield that Matthais' yields in the book Redwall by Brian Jacques because it is the sword and shield that saved Redwall.
I plan to make an interactive map detailing the main character's journey. I want to make a map with sliders and 3D locations. I want to have the special locations be 3D and colored.
This is my final map. I am still deciding on how I should make it. I am between laser cutting and printing. I am open to feedback
This is the beginning of my map which I designed on Canva
What I am trying to make is a realistic hammer and shield that are the two items of thor that are said to be the only things that can end Ragnarok.

On the first day I Gathered my materials and thaught about what I would do
On the second day I made my first prototype. I made it out of cardboard and put a hole on the bottom of the hammer for LEDs
On the third day I added a wheel and made some lines so when it spins it looks cool and added a button and a motor to turn it on. I also made a door to see the inside. (The button is the green dot)
Button
I made A laser cut for thors hammer file with SVG on the fourth day (grandparents day)
(did not use)
I made a laser cut file for both halfs of the shield and Made an x on the shield for design on the fifth day and added a bit of yarn on
I made a pad on the 3d printer for the inside of the shield on the sixth day out of tpu filament
TPU filament is a filament primarily made from thermoplastic polyurethane
On the seventh day, I hot-glued the two parts of the shield together, and I added yarn so it would look medieval. I also made an adjustable strap for your hand and put Thor's face on the shield. I also put a pad that was 3d printed so you do not get splinters. And sanded down the PVC pipe so much it feels like fabric
3d printed
On the eighth day I added yarn on the handle to look medieval and made a strap so you can carry it. I it looks cooler healso put some more dots on the wood so it looks cooler when it spins and substituted the old motor for a stronger one So it spins faster
On the ninth day I added some design to the shield and used a higher quality string
Norse symbol
On the tenth day I added a wight so it could stay on one side and I also sanded down the edges
on the eleventh day I made stands for each artifact for fessy con
For Fessy Con I thought I should Incorporate a part of the book into real life, and that aspect of my book is where most of the book take place: Silo 18

P.S. I decided to only design and 3d print a part of the silo

BUT...
I had to pivot to a different thing because all my 3D prints failed.

Final Reflections
For my Fessy Con project, I chose to bring the staircase from Wool by Hugh Howey to life because it plays a huge role in the story. The staircase connects everything in the silo and shows how people are separated, but also how they’re all part of one big system. I wanted to show how tiring, mysterious, and important that staircase really is.
While working on this project, I learned how much thought authors put into even simple settings. The staircase isn’t just a place—it represents struggle, connection, and control. Creating it helped me understand the book on a deeper level. It also made me think about how setting affects characters and mood.
I’m proud of how the project turned out, and I feel like I was able to help others picture an important part of the book. This project showed me how stories can come alive when we look closer.
P.S. (Sorry for making you read this Absolute wall of text)
My project was going to be a full on cliff with trees and a moving dinosaur, and the hovercraft, but my plans turned.
(I'll explain later)
What my project is/ Thesis:
My project is a 3-D printed hovercraft, and it was supposed to move. I also have a painting of a cliff where the main characters win their main battle.

Day 1
I got started on the cliff design, trying to make it a bit curvy.
Day 2
I started making the base for the waterfall.
This is why I stopped my first idea, as I realized I had worked for two days only to have to restart. I knew I had to change because of time restraints.
Someone destroyed my cliff...
Day 3
Working on the Mid-Review :)
Days 4,5, and 6
What I was trying to make my hoverboard look like.
What it ended up looking like (see any similarities?)
