My project is a three-dimensional map of the City of Ember. I have made a laser cut of the city and will build three-dimensional buildings on top of the foundation.

Iteration 1 (sketch design for laser cutter)

This is my first trace of the City of Ember. I made a trace of the image from the graphic novel. This trace was for a lazar cut wich would by my foundation for the 3 dimentionl buildings.

Iteration 2, Laser Cut

For this iteration, I used the laser cutter to make my drawing into a cardboard cut out. This was the idea for my finel project.

Iteration 3

This is my third iteration. For this iteration, I made the city larger and more detailed to better accommodate the buildings.

Iteration 4, Added Buildings

For this iteration, I created a wooden foundation and began constructing some buildings on it.

Final Iteration, Complete Project

This is my fully painted, fully made wood foundation, City of Ember. For this iteration, I spray painted the buildings,whichs made it look like it was a bright city in a dark world.
