The Heart of Irpa
Based off of Lightfall by Tim Probert. By Braeden McEuen
I wanted to create a game to show people my book and get them to read it.
Day 1: We made ideas. We also made our sketch.
Day 2: I made the basic code. You can shoot projectiles.
Day 3:
Day 4
Day 5
Day 6
Day 7
Day 8: I made the rules for the game. It also explains some of the backstory.
This was my feedback. I was not able to add a screen recording, because it couldn't load. I did the other ones.
Final Code:
Lord of the Rings Trilogy by J.R.R Tolkien.
The Greed of Mordor
By Arjun Rajagopalan
My Thesis
In my project, I am making a board game based on The Lord of the Rings Trilogy People will be able to interact with my game by playing the board game.
My First Sketch
Conceptual Precedents
Technical Precedent
Day 1
Today in class, I worked on the 3D print for Bag End. This will be very crucial to my board game because it is where the journey begins.
Day 2
Today in class, I worked on the rules for the board game. This will be very crucial to my board game because it is the building blocks of my game. Document linked here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-VqB07yErKYIfPNgf7zTIDCCWerqkt3mpSUNEbC55v0/edit?tab=t.0
Day 3
Today in class, I worked on the map of my board game. This is a design change because I ventured off using 3D printed pieces and just had them on the board.
Day 4
Today in class, I worked on the spinner and revising my rules. This is a big part of the project because I had to revise the rules to include the spinner part.
Day 5 and 6
Yesterday and today in class, I worked on the ring. This is a big part of the project because it is the whole purpose of the story and is the thing that everyone wants.
Feedback from mid-review
My feedback from my mid review was to have my pieces be like the sorry pieces and to get people playing the game ASAP.
Day 7
Today in class, I worked on laser cutting the spinner and finding out how we could make the spinner actually spin. I was able to figure it out and that is very helpful for my project.
Day 8
Today in class, I worked on putting the map on the foam core. I printed the map over the weekend and now I needed a sturdy figure to hold it up.
Finished project
Dragons of the Maze
Wings of Fire by Tui T. Sutherland
Garrett Sullivan
Thesis
The main idea for this project is to turn the book Wings of Fire into a cool maze that is made to look like a dragon looking around a dungeon or inside a mountain which are the main places in wings of fire.
Conceptual precedent
Technical precedent
I plan to make a video game where you run through a maze and get to the portal and if you make it you can go to another map.
Plan
Today I started working on the video game. I have not gotten far today because I was brand new at making video games so I had to learn the ropes.
Day #1
Day #2
Today I got a lot further I actually almost finished it I just need to add some finishing touches. Tomorrow I'm going to finish the video game and then make a poster out of wood and then draw a video game cover on it for my video game.
Day #3
Today I didn't do much I tested my video game and it was good nice and hard. After I tested my video game I started my poster board for the poster I'm making for my video game.
Day #4
Today I made edits to the poster board and finished it tomorrow I'm going to cut this on the laser cutter and maybe color it probably not though.
Mid-review Feedback
Day #5
Today I finished the fourth and final video game but a problem happened so It didn't save. Also I finished the rules doc and Ms. Cook checked it.
Day #6
Today we completed the first level and tomorrow I am going to make the poster.
Day #7
today we didn't do much except for that we cut out the dragon poster for the video game.

Project Hail Mary, by Andy Weir.
FessyCon Project V1
Dashiell Atwood
My idea is to make a microscope showing pond organisms to represent Taumoeba from Project Hail Mary along with a "top secret file" to explain the plot of the novel.
This is my sketch, it is showing a microscope with amoebas representing Taumoeba. The feedback I got says to include a "file" and some customization to the microscope to make it look cooler.
This is my technical precedent, it is a zero gravity microscope designed for use in space. I wanted to recreate this for my project because a microscope like this is included in Project Hail Mary so I wanted to recreate it for my project.
This is Taumoeba, a fictional alien organism from Project Hail Mary. I wanted to use this as a conceptual precedent as they can easily be recreated with amoebas, a creature from earth. I wanted to combine this with the microscope to make a visual experience where the audience can see the Taumoeba.
Day 1:
Today I started work on my "top secret file" for my project. I also sent Mrs. Dilly an email asking for microscope permission.
Day 2:
I have made more progress on the "top secret file" ( By making some stickers) today! I think I will start work on the microscope tomorrow.
Day 3:
Today I sent another email asking to borrow a microscope because it turns out I need to ask Mr. Danziger to borrow it. I have also made some progress on my "file".
Day 4:
Today I finished my classified document and sent myself my backup project (a really fun game). My game consists of 6 levels, all of which are based off events from the book

Day 5:
Today I printed out my new stickers and also finally got my microscope, I also talked to Mrs. Dilly about how I will get my amoeba/pond organisms and she said she will provide me with 1-3 glass slides but that if there is a pond near my house (which there is) I should just get a jar, go to the pond, and scoop up a ton of water and dirt and then put some samples on the slides
Day 6:
Today I tested my backup project while I was waiting for Ms. Dilly to make the slide. She said I needed to wait until last period so she could prepare the slide. The game works really well and I had some people try it.
The Game: --> --> -->
Day 7:
Today I made my slides and looked at everything under a microscope. I really like the final product of my FessyCon it is really cool!
Results :) -->
Day 8:
Today I emptied my slides, I did this because if I don't make new slides the day of FessyCon, when the presentation happens, all the stuff will be dead. I think for the rest of my project I will have people test my game and maybe keep one of the slides where the specimen got squished so people can still look at it.
Final Project:
My final project has turned out very well, The microscope is working extremely well, the pond water is full of life to make my slides, and all my papers came out well. I am overall very happy with the final project.
Final Videos:
Heroes of Olympus board game
By Colton Sroczynski
based of the Heroes of Olympus book series by Rick Riordan.
I am going to make a board game based off my book. It will be interactive because people will play it.
This is my conceptual precedent. My game will have cards like Monopoly.
This is my technical precedent. It is laser cut as my game will be.
This is my sketch. You can see the two boards and all the labelled pieces.
This is my cuttle file. board game Right now it is too big.
Day one
This is my rules document. It is not done yet though.
I finished my rules document. All sections.
Day two
I am almost done with my boards. They are still too big though.
Day three
I started downsizing my board. The spaces will be one by one.
Day 4
I finished my mortal world board. Now I just need the Tartarus board.
Feedback:
Glows
Two boards are creative.
Grows
Make a prototype for people to play.
Make sure squares are aligned.
Add name to the board.
Sublimation print or color the font
Day 5
I just need to cut my boards. As well as make my cards.
I cut my boards! Now I just need to make my cards.
Day 6
Day 7
I finished my cards. Both decks and my character cards are included.
Day 8
I finished my game! Now I am going to get someone to test it.
Final video!
I played my game. Dash and Charlie B. played it with me.
COG
Runaway Robots
My Sketch
Conceptual Precedent
Technical Precedent
Day 1
This is my dogs head. This is what I completed in day 1.
Day 2
After I made the head I added a body.
Day 3
Day 4
My old dog didn't work so I made a new one.
Day 4 (continued)
This is my human to go with the dog.
Feedback
Voice recording or memo to help more present the idea that they are switching the brains.
More characters added on to COG and PROTO.
Take one more step in the project.
Day 6
I made the brains that are going to be in COG and ADA.
Day 7
Ada is a robot that uses destruction missels and other war materials. She is going to be turned from ADA to COG to escape from the villain. they did that so they could keep a low cover and if they get caught they can have a good story.
COG is a robot for cognitive development. He is not very fast so he switched bodies with PROTO so he could dash through the halls and get where he wanted to be. He is also a dog now so people would just think it is a random robot dog running through the hallways.
PROTO is a robot dog and he switched with ada so when they were being interrigated it would look like COG and ADA were there but COg was actually on a mission.
Day 8
I added the brains to my people.
Day 9
I made a home for the people.
Day 10
I taped the sign back so that it wouldn't creep forward.
