After we collect the tape we will bring it back to our factory, where we melt it to get it back to its original plastic form. After this, we will make the adhesive. The adhesive is made out of Resin Oil Powder. Then we mix the plastic that was melted with the adhesive. After this, it is strung into the different lengths and sizes needed. Then we will sell it to hockey companies.
Today, Grant and I were assigned the topic of Environment as our Nuvu project and we have decided on the topic of ocean trash. We wanted to create a water vessel that is able to collect ocean/lake/river trash in small or medium sizes. We also did a lot of research on the precedents and the mechanisms we may use for the project. A sketch was drawn to express our idea and we thought about making a prototype in a few days.
The baleen system works by a whale opening its mouth underwater and taking in water. The whale then pushes the water out, and animals such as krill are filtered by the baleen and remain as food source for the whale. This is how whales filter out water. This definitely can be a system that Henry and I can work on our boat.
