Mistborn Gear
Mistborn By Brandon Sanderson

Thesis
For this project I will create the gear set for the people called Mistborn in my book. Mistborn are people who can use all of the Allomantic metals/powers, making them very formidable. To interact with the audience, I will most likely act like a merchant of sorts selling the mistborn gear. The audience could also try on the gear set including the cloak, belt and the things on the belt like vials.

Day 1
Today I finished the Allomantic vials. I printed the vials (model top right) with translucent PETG filament on my 3D printer. The symbols are drawn with Sharpie on a piece of tape. The corks are just cardboard rolls. Inside the vials are bits of aluminum foil (on the right) to simulate the Allomantic metals in the vials.

Day 2
Today I designed and laser cut the coins for the coin pouch. Each coin has a symbol for one of the 8 base Allomantic metals. There are 16 coins in total, so there are two of each type of symbol. On the bottom right you can see the design of all the coins in Cuttle. To the right, you can see all of the coins labeled with what symbol is on them. The coins are made of wood so they would be more durable and look cooler.

Day 3
In today's class I worked on the pouch for the coins. My first prototype was just fabric and string through some holes. However, it didn't look good and it wasn't really working. For my second prototype I simplified the design. I made a rectangle pouch by folding a piece of rectangular fabric and hot gluing the sides. To close the pouch, I added a simple string using hot glue to tie a knot. The pouch can store all the coins quite easily as you can see on the left.
Day 4
Today (Saturday) I worked on the Mistborn cloak. Everything is mainly just ribbon and sewn with string. The top isn't sewn too well, so some string appears there. You can wear the cloak by tying it to your neck.
Day 5
Today I made the glass daggers of the Mistborn set. I designed the daggers based on the image on the right. The daggers are made out of acrylic to simulate the glass part of the dagger. There are two holes in the daggers and engravings on the side. I made add a grip later to make the daggers stronger and better.
