The Daisy Clone
Summary
The book Watchdog by Will McIntosh is a book about two kids who are being targeted by people who build watchdogs. Also, a watchdog is a robotic anything that follows its owner, but they build their own watchdog. The main character, Vick, is brave, but also scared, and the metaphorical dragons he faces are the group of people who make watchdogs, but in the end, they succeed. Another character is Tara. She is really smart but autistic, so she faces many challenges. Three major events are when she builds the watchdog, staying alive, and getting rid of the watchdog company. In the end, Vick was trying to help his sister (Tara) as much as he could. What the book is teaching us is to never give up, and eventually, you will succeed.
Proposal
Dear Fessy Con Selection Committee,
The book Watchdog by Will McIntosh is the book that I read to use for my Fessy Con Project. My project is going to be a robotic dog from the book named Daisy. I am going to add characteristics so you can tell that it is Daisy. Something like you can press a button and a mini Daisy comes out, just like in the book mini Daisy comes out. Also, there will be this chip that will show because the back of the dog is broken, just like in the book. Daisy may be able to run, and the smaller one leaves the big one. I think it will be really cool to see a robot move.
I will work in the CCI, and I am going to use motors on the inside, and the outside made out of wood. I will use the laser cutter for the parts. I will first build the outside with the laser cutter then program the engines and attach them.I will need a wood motors programing app and hot glue.I will also need black and gray-ish silver paint. Probably body first day, program 2 days, and gluing and painting 2 days.I will do everything without distractions.
I think the whole idea is fully new and cool. I am making a robot with things that are hard to make. I think mine is unique because of how hard it is to do so. I think you should accept this idea.
Sincerely,
Vova :)
