؜My idea for this project is to make a growing beanstalk that is powered by a motor. The motor will turn a big gear which will grow a 3D printed beanstalk that has rivets in the side for the gears to attach and push the beanstalk up fast. As an accessory I will have the "magical beans" to "plant in the soil for the beanstalk to grow. which is just me flipping a switch in the back

Conceptual Precedent

Technical Precedent

I would use gears to push the beanstalk up. The beanstalk would have rivets the stem for the gears to connect

I submitted my summary and my proposal. finished slides 3 and 4. Tomorrow I will start a rough draft and check the CCI for more supply's for the beanstalk

Today I switched my idea from a motor growing the beanstalk to a gear being turned by a button when pressed and made a new sketch. tomorrow I will start 3D printing the project and start making the gears.

Day Three

؜Today I have the motor and switch soldered together and it works. I desinged a stand for the gears to turn without them falling. Tomorrow I will make the stand and start 3D printing the beanstalk.

This is one of my ideas to make a gear stand, and it can easily be 3D printed. I will attach it to the wall with multiple gears next to it to make the motor turn all of the gears at once

Day four

today I made my first prototype for the stand for the big gear. I figured out that there was too much weight on the front pole (sorry for not having a picture I ripped it apart after it didn't work) so I figured out that I needed extra legs and a stronger pole for the gear. I also (with help from Ms. M) striped the wires and resoldered the motor and the switch back together.

4. Prove concept manually check that my gears work

Day five

Today I made a model of a box and got measurements for my box and beanstalk. Tomorrow I will try to make the acrylic pieces and I hopefully will have the beanstalk by Monday. I also don't know why it says Mom and Dad and it won't let me delate it

today I have printed my beanstalk and have a rough prototype of the pully system. It kind of looks like a mini spool of filament. I will make the acrylic box tomorrow.

Day Six

Day Seven

I missed a day so I had to work extra hard today. I made the base for my beanstalk, made the pully system and I switched my idea. Now I am making it a game where you have to grow/pull the beanstalk it has to come out of the ground without touching the sides. Tomorrow I arranged with Ms. Walrod to make the box look better by painting it.also try to lazercut the acrylic for the box and 3D print the beans.

Day Eight/X- block

I painted my box and it is still drying in the art room. The beanstalk is ready and drawn and painted. Tomorrow I will cut the acrylic and add the grass to the box.
