Automotive companies are usually heavy polluters, however, Ford is trying to shed this stereotype. They are doing this through their ten-part environmental policy. They use sustainable fabrics in their vehicles and 80% of the Focus and Escape are recyclable. They also focus on fuel efficiency, offering a clean diesel heavy pickup truck. Also, they recycle the paint fumes at their factory in Michigan and use them as fuel. Ford's factories use Geothermal cooling systems, allowing the machines to be able to run on either ethanol or gas. Ford also owns the worlds largest green roof and is the only company to ever win the EPA Energy Star Award twice in a row.
