For my Fessy Con project, I plan to make a board game about the book Dragon Run
Some things that inspired this project was the Monopoly board game. It inspired the main shape of the board and the dungeon tiles. (Jail tiles)
(even though there aren't any money in the game)
Another notable piece of inspiration is the map of the book Dragon Run(can be found like, near the front of the book)
The area where the board game is based off will be this central area, near Castle Surflinne as that is where the dragons go to at the end of the book.
I will also try to include the river near the castle in the board game.
My technical precedent is the website instructables.com. The website laid out the structure of my board game as it showed the process of making a successful board game. I followed the steps and the website gave me the idea of 3-D printing my own game pieces.

Day 1
I made a sketch of what my board game was going to look like when it is finished. The board would be made of paper, the cards made of cardstock, and there would be a cardboard dragon in the middle. I would color the tiles and cards with colored pencils/markers. The pieces and die would be 3D printed.
Day 2
I began 3D printing the pieces and made the game board. I will probably actually DRAW OUT the game board next time.
I am planning to print out this picture --->
next to put it in the middle of the game board to make it look cool.
Day 3
Today I completely finished the Tinkercad for the pieces and die for the board game and printed the pieces and cut out the supports. I will make the game board next time.
(Didn't print dragon, will do that next time)
Day 4
Today I made the board for the game (I didn't complete this yet, there are still missing aspects)
I lost the die in a Middle Makers class, so I need to print a new one.
I printed the dragon too, but it was the wrong size so I'll have to print again.
Day 5
Today I used Sketchpad to make the cards for my board game. I then put the pictures onto a google doc to print in the future.
I made cards for both the Red and Blue teams.
So in total I've made great progress on my project so far and I hope to make it look as great as possible for the Fessy Con event!
