Silo From Wool
For Fessy Con I thought I should Incorporate a part of the book into real life, and that aspect of my book is where most of the book take place: Silo 18

P.S. I decided to only design and 3d print a part of the silo

Final Reflections
For my Fessy Con project, I chose to bring the staircase from Wool by Hugh Howey to life because it plays a huge role in the story. The staircase connects everything in the silo and shows how people are separated, but also how they’re all part of one big system. I wanted to show how tiring, mysterious, and important that staircase really is.
While working on this project, I learned how much thought authors put into even simple settings. The staircase isn’t just a place—it represents struggle, connection, and control. Creating it helped me understand the book on a deeper level. It also made me think about how setting affects characters and mood.
I’m proud of how the project turned out, and I feel like I was able to help others picture an important part of the book. This project showed me how stories can come alive when we look closer.
