My Thesis
In my project, I am making a board game based on The Lord of the Rings Trilogy People will be able to interact with my game by playing the board game.
My First Sketch
Conceptual Precedents
Technical Precedent
Day 1
Today in class, I worked on the 3D print for Bag End. This will be very crucial to my board game because it is where the journey begins.
Day 2
Today in class, I worked on the rules for the board game. This will be very crucial to my board game because it is the building blocks of my game. Document linked here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-VqB07yErKYIfPNgf7zTIDCCWerqkt3mpSUNEbC55v0/edit?tab=t.0
Day 3
Today in class, I worked on the map of my board game. This is a design change because I ventured off using 3D printed pieces and just had them on the board.
Day 4
Today in class, I worked on the spinner and revising my rules. This is a big part of the project because I had to revise the rules to include the spinner part.
Day 5 and 6
Yesterday and today in class, I worked on the ring. This is a big part of the project because it is the whole purpose of the story and is the thing that everyone wants.
Feedback from mid-review
My feedback from my mid review was to have my pieces be like the sorry pieces and to get people playing the game ASAP.
Day 7
Today in class, I worked on laser cutting the spinner and finding out how we could make the spinner actually spin. I was able to figure it out and that is very helpful for my project.
Day 8
Today in class, I worked on putting the map on the foam core. I printed the map over the weekend and now I needed a sturdy figure to hold it up.
