Biography

Our group interviewed Bobbre Grant, who lives in the Scandinavian Living Center. Bobbre was born in Brooklyn, NY, on May 20, 1950, and moved to Long Island when she was two. A big part of her life was washing and grooming dogs, but she enjoyed doing other things, like traveling.

Artist Statement

Our group has decided to create a puzzle with a heart shape to symbolize Bobbre's love and kindness working with dogs. However, since that wasn't her permanent occupation, every piece in the heart represents something special. There are six total pieces. The plane represents her love for traveling. The wedding ring represents her wedding. The drum and guitar represent The Beatles, her favorite rock band. The dog represents one of her occupations, which was cleaning and grooming dogs. Lastly, the mailbox represents one of her other occupations working in the mailroom. Everything combined represents her life.
